On behalf of Prestongrange Golf Club members, who played last Friday & Sunday at Tyneside Golf Club, I would like to say thank you to all your staff that were involved in making us very welcome. Your course is in fantastic condition and we all really enjoyed playing it. I would also like to thank the catering & bar staff who supplied us on both days with excellent food and drinks. Your right the course is in great condition and one of the party plays off 5 and he commented on the condition of the course. Hi TGC Could I just say by way of this email that today I played TGC with my work colleagues the train drivers and found the course in amazing condition The greens were true and beautiful , for this time of year a remarkable achievement. Please pass mine and the other players top congratulations to your green staff Very well done. The best I've seen in years !! Dear Alastair, I am writing to express my sincere thanks to you and your members and staff for the warm welcome we received on Sunday. They could not have done any more to help. Everyone was so friendly and supportive. Please pass on our thanks. We had a very successful day. There were some excellent scores and the girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Libby Bell from your club won the Appleby Bowl with a net 66 and Maggie Whitehead from Ramside won the stableford competition with 49 points. Both girls are very young and having seen their amazing scores from yesterday I am really excited about their future potential. The course was in great condition, please pass on our thanks to your greens staff. It was great to meet Amie Watson yesterday and to see her compete. Hi Alistair, I'd like to thank you and all at tgc for the very enjoyable day we had. The course was in lovely condition especially the greens, they were in fantastic condition. The food that we had was also very nice. All in all a good day was had all with no complaints which is very unusual. I'd be grateful if you could pass on to all concerned also a big thanks to you for the very generous donation of a fourball voucher for charity it will be much appreciated by the "smile for life charity" and I'll keep you updated on the years final total. My three golfing pals, two from Ponteland GC and the other from Whitley Bay GC turned up with me for a round at your course yesterday at 4pm. After a very friendly welcome from your Pro we proceeded to thoroughly enjoy our game on your splendid course. All of us remarked what good condition it was in and the greens were a joy to putt on. The hospitality in your fine Clubhouse following was also very enjoyable. If I lived in the Tyne valley your Club would be first on my list to be a member of. Harrogate District Golf Captains 2003.

Alistair, On behalf of the Harrogate District Golf Captains 2003 may I thank you very much for hosting the first day of our April tour. There was a great North East Friendly welcome from all the members and guests we met during the day. The course was in great condition enjoyed by all. Gary your professional was a great credit to you and ensured everything ran very smoothly on the day. The staff behind the bar looked after our needs impeccably and believe me we have some needy souls amongst us!! Hopefully we will see you again in future Kind Regards Andy Partridge

Whitley Bay Ladies Section

Dear Alastair, Further to our visit today on behalf of the Whitley Bay Ladies I would just like to thank the golf club staff for their kind assistance and for making us very welcome. The service was excellent with drinks and food ready upon our arrival. We also met some of the lady members who likewise made us feel very welcome. The course was extremely interesting and in very good condition for the time of year. We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Tyneside and will certainly look to visit again in the future.
